How-to: Find client version.

Post by xxsikuma on Thu Nov 22, 2012 10:48 am

Ill be making this tutorial with JD-GUI. Download it here.
Save and extract JD-GUI to your desktop.
After you have it downloaded, download the RSCEmulation.jar(Link) Save RSCEmulation.jar to your desktop also.
Now open up JD-GUI.

Drag and Drop RSCEmulation.jar into the blank space of the app. Now you should have a package list.

Expand org.rscemulation and expand CLIENT. There should be a class list now. Find K and expand it. Theres 2 integers and 1 String. Your looking for the last number. -12 atm.

Thats my tutorial, I hope I helped you guys out atleast a little.

I'm not very worried about it. Soon™ I would like to completely redo the bot and use the actual rsce client. There would possibly be some lost features but I could make it work exactly like the legit client and it should be easy enough to update every time. At that point I'm not sure what I would like to do.

There have been ideas thrown out there like making rahbot have an auth and be invite only. I would like the bot to be for everybody but a lot of people like to contribute nothing and then bitch about things not working perfectly for them. I still don't know what will happen but its an idea.

You could do alot of different things. Currently I dont think RAHBot is an underachievement in the least bit, especially for one, maybe two rogue programmers. But yes, you could use the RSCE client, if you couldnt find the source or deobfuscate it yourself, maybe the idea of reflection or using hooks. I think it could be alot more efficient than what it is. But I think you could perfect RAHBot, keep it public and start work on a private bot that would cost money, but would be virtually undetectable, very user-friendly and automatically updated everytime rsce did. A auth system isnt hard in the least bit. Maybe a bot that had a script database online, so every user that has actually paid for it, has access to any and all scripts for the bot.

I have a feeling a lot of people are just changing -12 to -100. The previous version (prior to 23 Dec 12) was -12, the new one is 100

The class file in this version was not K and actually M

It's working for me..

Code:

package org.rscemulation.client;

public class M
{
  public static String B = "rscemulation.net";
  public static int A = 47223;
  public static int C = 100;
}

If a link on the rsce site doesn't work then go there and find one that does. Took me all of about 5 seconds to find the topic with the link in it. Someone already posted the new version somewhere in the support section.

Since it will inevitably be asked, the letter you search under in the tutorial will change with every version rsce releases. Just check all of them and find the one that most resembles what this tutorial says.
